Pants on the Ground becomes the most viewed video on YouTube. ‘Pants On the Ground’ continues to make hits. Yesterday, the audition song of the American Idol reject became the most viewed video on the YouTube.
The song was sung by a 62-year-old civil rights veteran Larry Platt at his audition on American Idol. Bitter and blunt judge Simon Cowell remarked, ‘I am having a terrible feeling that the song could be a hit’. We guess that his prediction was absolutely right. ‘Pants on the Ground’ has literally become an internet sensation. The audition was aired last week and since then more than a million news articles have been featured on the song. Multiple videos were published on the YouTube minutes after General Larry Platt appeared on the TV screens, and within hours the YouTube videos of Platt’s audition were viewed by millions, and 48 hours later the video was featured in ‘Most Viewed’ and ‘Most Favorite’ video categories of YouTube. And the story doesn’t end here: the song has been remixed by countless DJ’s throughout the country and many TV stars have come up with their own remixed version of the song.
